So as result Y2K will open (and close the year) with the second (4th) Melbourne (biannual) bienali, 8 years on.
Y2K was to be a gallery space, now it is everything else. It seems fitting that a space with the name Y2K would fizzle like the millenium bug. But out of the lack of a space i have decided to focus more on the elements that surfaced around the idea of haveing a space. Ie a events newsletter A4 B/W folded that will slip into each next issue and become a publication ever growing publication (i am open to contrabutions for this), the newsletter (y3k) will feature documentation and information of current exhibitions, open discourse, information, etc. The blog will also fill this role, with flyers, documentation and online copies of the Y3K newsletter. The Biennial will still happen in events through out the year and a Gallery based exhibition in November..... More on that soon. anyone wanting to be involved in any of these endevours email me on:
